JOAO NEVES - STORE MANAGER

Joao has been the Store Manager at Notting Hill since 2023. Originally from Brazil but having lived in NYC for a few years, he relocated to the UK in 2016. 

He was born into hospitality, working in his family's catering business since his teen years. After university, he worked in finance, but his true passion was in the beverage industry.

Once in the UK Joao started off managing restaurant bars, then a cocktail bar and most recently a renowned East London public house. Along the way, he acquired the WSET awards in Spirits and Wine and an extensive knowledge of the craft beer industry.

His most fond memory was working on the vendange in Lavaux, Switzerland. Since then, every holiday must include a visit to the local winery.

His favourite wines are aged Rieslings from Alsace and Cotes du Jura Trousseau, and perhaps a Pineau de Charentes for dessert.
