Linie Authentic Aquavit is unique in being matured for 4 months in Sherry barrels on board ship, as it was created, giving smooth, aniseed, caraway and oak flavours.
Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.
We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £120 (inc VAT).
For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.
For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.
Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.
We want all our cusomers to be 100% happy with their order and it is our aim to ensure that all orders are supplied to our customers arrive in perfect condition. You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.

If you need to cancel an order you have just placed, you can do so by calling our customer service team on 020 8951 9840 and provide your order confirmation number and name. If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us. Please email us at [email protected] with your order confirmation number, full name and the reason you for the return. Shipping charges are non-refundable. We advise you to obtain a postal receipt or send the items back via recorded delivery.
In 1780, Catharine Lysholm built the vessel, Trondheims Prove in cooperation with her tradesman brother. The ship sailed to the East Indies in 1807 loaded with potato spirit in casks and other merchandise. Five casks remained unsold and returned on the ship to Norway in 1807.
Much to the owners' surprise and pleasure, the potato spirit had turned into a smooth and pleasant Aquavit after the long voyage at sea in cask. Following the voyage, Linie Aquavit was born, and the secret behind its unique style and quality was a guarded secret in the Lysholm family for many years. To this day, the spirit is matured for 4 months in casks on board container ships, during which time it crosses the equator twice.
The combination of caraway/aniseed is prominent in the aroma of Lysholm's Linie Aquavit. Old sherry notes give a rich, rounded flavour, with aniseed, caraway and oak giving complexity.
With its dry style and subdued, neutral taste, Linie is ideal for accompanying smoked salmon, marinated fish and other dishes having a mild flavour. Linie should be served at room temperature.
