Chardonnay Beerenauslese is a delicious, botrytis-affected, organic, sweet white from the Gruber family in Röschitz, Austria. It has layers of peach jam, mango and vanilla, with a core of balancing citrus acidity.
Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.
We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £120 (inc VAT).
For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.
For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.
Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.
We want all our cusomers to be 100% happy with their order and it is our aim to ensure that all orders are supplied to our customers arrive in perfect condition. You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchase.

If you need to cancel an order you have just placed, you can do so by calling our customer service team on 020 8951 9840 and provide your order confirmation number and name. If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us. Please email us at [email protected] with your order confirmation number, full name and the reason you for the return. Shipping charges are non-refundable. We advise you to obtain a postal receipt or send the items back via recorded delivery.
The village of Röschitz is located in the Weinviertal region northwest of Vienna. After driving through largely flat agricultural land for an hour, a series of small hills appears on the horizon which offer the ideal topography and geology for vines, with their variety of sloping, well-drained soils. The climate is cool yet dry, and the local soils mainly loess and granite, which lends the wines from here an elegance and minerality seldom found in the more commonly sandy sectors of Weinviertal. The vineyards range from 250-350 metres above sea level.
The Gruber family have been making wine in the village for 200 years, but only commercially for 3 generations. Today the estate numbers 80 hectares, spread across 150 individual sites, and is run by siblings Maria, who looks after sales and marketing, Ewald in the cellar, and Christian in the vines, who have overseen the conversion to fully organic winemaking and viticulture since 2013.
Their wines combine immediate drinkability and freshness with an underlying minerality that is apparent across the range. A selection of estate wines is accompanied by single-vineyard bottlings which highlight individual terroirs. The distinctive labels reference the “wine spirits” found in the vineyards and cellars, (otherwise known as indigenous yeasts!) which give the wines such great character.
These are delicious, well made and very well-priced wines with personality, produced by an extremely talented and welcoming family.
