Flaccianello is the top wine of the brilliant Tuscan producer, Fontodi. Fast becoming an iconic wine, Flaccianello is a broad-shouldered and intense expression of Sangiovese, showing its best after 5 years of cellaring. Aged for 24 months in French oak, full-bodied with dense black cherry, mocha, liquorice, lavender, spice and tobacco. A true powerhouse of a wine.

We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £120 (inc VAT).
For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.
For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.

If you call us after your item has shipped, we will be unable to cancel it and you will need to return to us. The Manetti family has owned Fontodi since 1968 whilst Giovanni Manetti has run the property since 1980. His eye for detail and meticulous approach raised the quality level at Fontodi and is now recognised as an iconic name in Tuscany. The 90 hectares of vineyards, 90% being Sangiovese, are situated in the Golden Shell or ‘Conca d’Oro, a prime position within Panzano, within the Chianti Classico region. The area is known and renowned for its quality viticulture, specifically the high altitude, marly soils and high diurnal temperature range. The vineyards are now certified organic and Biodynamic principles are followed to ensure the finest quality grapes. Flaccianello della Pieve is the top wine of the estate year on year.
