Chateau Merville is at the highest point in St Estephe, on clay-limestone soils which means their blends have an unusually high proportion of Merlot. 18 months in new and used oak adds complexity to the wine.
Challenge 21 - You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. You must not buy alcohol on behalf of those under 18. We apply the "Challenge 21" policy to all delivery and collection orders. We will not supply if the person receiving or collecting orders appears under the age of 21.
We charge a flat fee of £5.95 for delivery if your order is under 20kg, and £10 inc VAT if it is over 20kg. Free delivery is available for orders above £120 (inc VAT).
For Standard Delivery, we will ship items within 2 working days, provided the order is placed before midday.
For Express Delivery, we will ship items the same day, provided the order is placed before midday.
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipment confirmation email, and the following day, you will receive a text from our courier with a delivery window. If your order has not yet arrived, please email [email protected] and quote your order number.
Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation email; once you get it, your order will be delivered the next day.

St Estèphe is located in the North of the Médoc and is known for its powerful, muscular red wines. This small château is located at the region’s highest point on clay-limestone soils which account for the unusually high percentage of Merlot in the blend. Harvest is carried out by hand to ensure only the best grapes are selected. Winemaking Fermentation occurs in thermoregulated cement vats for 21 days, then the wine is aged in a combination of old and new french oak for 18 months before release.
Tasting Note: Drinking at its peak, the wine has a complex, perfumed nose of exotic wild berry fruits with hints of tobacco and fresh leather complemented by integrated French oak and hints of roasted meats. A supple texture with soft, resolved tannins and great balance.
Food Match: Delicious with roasted game such as venison or pheasant.
